Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area?

I grew up in Michigan, moved out to Arizona in 1987 — I have watched the valley grow. My Father was a physician and practiced in Phoenix for 20 years before his passing. My immediate family is comprised of two four-legged children — Tamale, a seven-year old Golden Retriever and Rocco a six-year old Rottweiler mix who I rescued after being terribly abused, which caused him severe facial deformities. The rescue group found it ironic that a female plastic surgeon in Scottsdale was rescuing him because he could really use some work. LOL

Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now.

I graduated from ASU with a Bachelors in Nursing. I practiced as an ICU nurse for three years here in the valley at St. Joe’s and St. Luke’s. I enjoyed being a nurse and desired to advance my knowledge base so I pursued a career as a physician.

What is your business, how/why did you start your business?

I am a Board Certified General Surgeon who trained at the county hospital in San Bernardino, California. I then partook in a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship. I make women feel good about themselves. I cannot think of a better job than that.

What is unique about your business?

Even though I am a Surgeon, I am just one of the girls. Not only do I get what women want and desire but I can deliver it, also. I am like a girlfriend with great set of skills.

Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice can you offer to the residents?

Always wear sun screen, make sure that you are on a good skin care regimen. Botox is a prevention not a treatment.
