As a busy mom, you may feel the need to seek out breast augmentation surgery. You might be wondering how you will ever be able to manage breast after-care with all the things you have to do in a day. Fortunately, we’re here to tell you that you’re not the first mom to voice this sentiment, and we’ve put together some great tips that might just help you manage it all, and achieve the beautiful results that you’ve been wanting.
1.Take two or three days completely off
While your recovery time won’t be incredibly long, it is suggested that you take a couple of days to relax, especially if you have a toddler or two. If hubby can take over, or if they can camp out at your mom’s place for the weekend, this will help tremendously. Most women are able to return to work after a week or even less, but the first few days are crucial. This is when you will feel the most uncomfortable. Once you’ve passed this hurdle, the adjustment back to a normal routine will be simpler.
2.Do not do any heavy lifting for 4 weeks
Take note – this means lifting the kids too! If they are quiet, try holding them on your lap while you’re sitting down. Do try to avoid multi-tasking while you’re holding them, as the more you do, the more potential there is for injury. We know mom is the most important person to her kids, but do try to avoid picking them up for ten days post-op.
3.Don’t try to hold your child while they are kicking or playing roughly
A hard kick to your breasts can be extremely painful and could cause a setback with your recovery. If your baby is quiet, have someone place him or her in your arms gently. Even so, it’s best to wait until after the first week.
4.Plan ahead and accept assistance
Call your sister, your mom or your girlfriend to help you around the house for a couple of weeks. Reaching, lifting or bouncing up and down can cause great discomfort during the first couple of weeks, and strenuous activity should be avoided for four weeks. This includes working out, jogging, running, etc.
