Use these tips prior to your laser hair removal sessions:

• Avoid the sun, tanning, tanning beds, waxing appointments, chemical peels, collagen injections, and other procedures two weeks before your treatment.
• Do not use fragrances, deodorant or any other cosmetic products that may cause skin irritations in the area of your session, before or after the treatment.

Using the power of laser beams, pulses of light are sent into the top layer of your skin. Here, at the epidermis, the lasers work with a high level of concentrated energy right at the follicles – where new hair grows.

The process continues over the course of 1 to 3 weeks to treat hair follicles. Then, over time, the treated hair starts to fall out. Additional treatments are required to achieve permanent hair removal.

After the first treatment, you will not notice immediate results, however, the long-term effects are obvious. Look for permanent results after multiple treatments and remember that results vary for each skin and hair type.

NOTE: Laser hair removal may not be as effective on some hair types including grey, light red, and blonde.

You may not see visible changes immediately after your treatment. Typically, patients report noticeable hair fall 5 to 14 days following the procedure. The existing hairs that remain will also be finer and more prone to breakage and hair fall over time. Additional treatment is usually needed 3 to 6 weeks after your initial session, at an interval of 6 to 8 weeks between sessions.

After the effects of your laser hair treatment begin to show, you may notice these results for up to 6 weeks before another treatment is needed.
